K of C-sponsored initiatives bring faith and charity to the suffering Church in Nigeria

Amid violence and persecution, the Church continues to grow in northern Nigeria — a witness to faith and modern martyrdom. To sustain this hope, the Knights of Columbus partnered with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria and Franciscan University of Steubenville to launch a National Catechetical Institute that forms a new generation of catechists and lay leaders. The first cohort is now training with Franciscan faculty, laying the groundwork for a vibrant institute that will help keep the light of the Gospel shining brightly in Nigeria.
